Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.

arte.yoga is run by Flurina Huggenberger.

As a professional in physical therapy and yoga, I created arte.yoga in 2019 to serve my aspirations of combining my passion for yoga with my passion for art. At that same time I started giving private and group courses in yoga and women’s health care as well as craniosacral therapy.

I grew up in RĂ¼ti in the Kanton of Zurich, Switzerland, and I’m now mainly based in Zurich. Thanks to my mother, a renowned painter and sculptor, I developed a strong interest in art and craftsmanship at a young age. I spent a lot of my childhood in my mom’s workshop. Many of the skills and techniques I use for my art today I learned from her over the years.

After studying tourism at Academia Engiadina in Samedan near St. Moritz, I worked in the tourism sector for a few years until I started my eduction as a physiotherapist at ZHAW in 2011, which I concluded in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. In the following years I completed training in craniosacral therapy, pelvic floor rehabilitation for women, vaginal steaming and yoga. In parallel, I placed emphasis on my continuing training in physiotherapy.

Since 2015 I have worked for several medical institutions and clinics as a therapist. I’m currently employed at a leading psychiatric clinic in Switzerland. In this function I enjoy the opportunity to treat many patients with a great variety of health issues.

Beside my work in Switzerland, I spend much of my time traveling the world; especially Latin America, which always inspires me with its diverse culture and impressive nature, its artists and its colors. I love exploring remote beaches, kite-surfing and I’m always accompanied by my yoga mat and a couple of my blocks:). During my recent stay in Mexico I delved into the work of Frida Kahlo and learned silk-screen printing in Oaxaca.

I have a strong passion for bodywork and the connection between body, mind and breath. My mission is to enable you to find an individual practice with a focus on efficiency and joy.
